★ Answering God’s Call – Garritt and Yvette Hampton, Presentation at 2:1 Conference

Garritt and Yvette Hampton didn’t set out to film Schoolhouse Rocked on a whim. Making this movie required a huge change for their family. Answering a call from God, they sold their house, cars, and possessions, to set out across the country filming this important homeschool documentary.

In October, 2017, Garritt and Yvette shared their story at the 2:1 conference in Herndon, Virginia. In this talk they don’t just talk about the steps they took in obedience to God’s calling on their lives, but they gave practical advice for hearing and responding to God’s calling for you.

Live interview with Leslie Nunnery of Teach Them Diligently

Yvette Hampton, producer and host of Schoolhouse Rocked got to sit down for a special live interview after spending the day with Leslie and David Nunnery, who were just wrapping up the Teach Them Diligently homeschool convention season. If you are a homeschool family, or if you are thinking about homeschooling we encourage you to attend a homeschool convention. We are always blessed by our time at these events. We had the pleasure of attending Teach Them Diligently in Nashville this year and it was a great event. We left extremely encouraged!

Yvette Talks with Cheryl Pitt at the 2:1 Conference in Herndon, Virginia

We want to thank Cheryl Pitt for inviting us to speak at the 2:1 Conference in Herndon, Virginia. We had a great time talking to some incredible ladies. The 2:1 conference is geared specifically to Christian homeschool bloggers, and was an incredibly encouraging event. The keynote speakers this year were Colleen Kessler of Raising Lifelong Learners (who we interviewed for Schoolhouse Rocked!), Davis Carman from Apologia, and Thelma Wells (aka Mama T), and every breakout session was taught by a total rockstar in their area of expertise, including Ramon Ray (another Schoolhouse Rocked contributor).

Colleen Kessler and Connie Albers

Thank you Connie Albers and Colleen Kessler for a fun night! We stayed up late interviewing these brilliant leaders in the homeschooling community. These ladies are so generous in their support of homeschooling. It was a great pleasure to watch them pour into peoples’ lives at their booths and in their sessions. You will be blessed by their contributions to Schoolhouse Rocked.
